About Rolling Rock Ranch

Rolling Rock Ranch is home to Michael James, Rob Shepherd, Princess Pumpkin the Pocket Alpaca, Rolling Rock Ranch Alpacas, Sapphire Dragon Orchids and a menagerie of wonderful animals that we call our family. We initially moved out to Canyon Country to have more space for our orchids, organic garden and to get a bit further out from bustle of LA. We both work in professional industries and the ranch is our weekend retreat.

We believe in sustainable agriculture and you won't find any GMO's in our garden. Desiring to be responsible shepherds of the land, alpacas were the perfect livestock have on our property. Their padded feet are gentle on the land and their grazing habits are such that they do not destroy native plants and grasses, which was even more important to us since most of the property is hillside.

Products produced at the ranch include Heritage Chickens, Free Range Eggs, Seeds from Heritage Vegetables and Flowers, Orchids and of course Alpacas and products from Alpaca Fiber.
